sooo... im in anatomy right now, and i dont really know what were supposed to do, so here i am typing in livejournal. so, on saturday holly and i took michelle out to lunch for her 17th bday. Now, she wasnt going to go to homecoming, so at lunch she said that if she could pay, shed go to homecoming. so naturally, we didnt let her pay, lol (well we took HER out to lunch anyway). so we spent like 3 hours in the mall trying to convince her to go to homecoming b/c holly and i had both got dressed already. finally we agreed to a deal. michelle would go to homecoming if holly and i bought books, and read them. so holly and i bought books, and to michelles suprise, we already read them. im not sure whatholly bought so once she finished, she might update, so ill leave that to her.
i bought a book called "twilight" by stephenie meyers. and michelle really wasnt kidding when she said it was an excellent book. the plot centers around one girl who moves to a desolate town where her dad is still living (parents are divorced). the town isnt much, but she finds friends quickly, and soon becomes intrigued by this one boy. im not going to say much about the boy, but he has an unusual aura about him, and has the ability to read some peoples minds. i stayed up until one this morning, it was just so damn good. lol and now im like having withdrawals. im wicked excited about the sequel, that ill hopefully get tomorrow from miches.
anyway, so not much is going on with me. im getting excited for homecoming, for once. this year EVERYONE is going, so it should be a wicked awesome time! and i cant wait to look pretty!! other than that, i dont have much to say.... im still kinda in a trance from the book i read. it just seemed so surreal, like some twisted, dark, and somehow wonderful fairytale. idk how to explain it... it was an awesome book.

- looked like an idiot in spanish club b/c i had no friends, so people wont vote for me
+ had a cheeseburger sub at christophers
- talked about josh collectively (with friends) at christophers
+ finished my spanish hw at christophers
+ went to v-ball game
+ abby talked to me
- i didnt know what to say, and i was nervous
+ JV won
+ Varsity won
- had too much hw and didnt do calculus hw
+ whitened teeth
+ made "fizzicks fil" in physics class
+ understood physics class
- didnt understand calc. hw
+ got a good hug from james
- almost cried at vball game

So on tuesday i had my wisdom teeth out, fun, i know. I only had 2 though b/c ive already had the lowers out woo!! and tuesday night i had to go to this thing at st. joes to recognize all the junior volunteers, and of course jon and jai were there. so i came in and jons like "dont laugh dont laugh dont laugh" (b/c its hurts to smile with the stitches) so of course i laughed. and he and jai kept making me smile the whole night. i did eat a piece of pizza though just in spite of them... but i kinda swallowed it whole lol. yea i dont really have anything to talk about other than i got my wisdom teeth out. which is a great way to lose weight btw. see watch: you cant eat much b/c your mouth hurts, then you take the pain killer which gives you a stomach ache and the little you did eat is gone: instant weigh loss program!! lol.

last night we ate at my brother's restaurant, dodici, as i mentioned before. It was so awesome!! It's located in this tiny little town in iowa, probably half the size of hollis, and it was pretty run-down-looking. BUT when you entered the restaurant, it felt like you were in boston, like you completely forgot that you were in a little dinky town in the middle of a flat state with almost absolutely nothing to do. Anyway... its an italian restaurant, and i highly suggest it if anyone ever goes to washington iowa.
Okay, im going to do a little into before i talk more about dodici. So my brother's mother has a cousin named Zalluka or something. Zalluka's siter or cousin or something's name is Lorraine, who owns the restaurant. Lorraine's Daughter is the one that Adin was babysitting in italy, so apparently, theyre family. OKAY, so Lorraine is at the restaurant like 24-7, her husbands name (not her daughters father) is named Alexandro and his son's name is MIchaeli.
OK back to the restaurant. So when we walked in (with my dad's annoying cousin fran and her dumbfounded husband Dennis) Lorraine greeted us. It was quite the night of meeting people. I guess that Adin tells them so much about all of us that the people at the restaurant were just waiting until we came down to visit. Lorraine was telling us how amazing Adin was, which was really nice to hear. She was astounded at his creativity and his talent for cooking and organizing. When he left on vacation she said that she prayed every night that hed come back, lol. I am really proud of my brother and how things have worked out for him. The food was excellent, the service was amazing, and the overall experience was definitely an astounding first impression. I've never seen my brother at a job for longer than 2 years either, and i can tell that hes truly happy here, although hes getting a little restless b/c hes never lived in one place this long lol.
today we went to this cool gorge thing at a dam in some river that iforget the name of. haha, but in 1993 there was a massive flood that overcame the damn and ripped into this gorge. It took away about 5 feet of ground and when the water drained out, the remaining rocks were full of fossils. Apparently iowa was once covered in a shallow ocean. There were some pretty killed fossils still there, but since 1993, a lot have been damaged due to people walking on them.
okay im gonna go now. call my cell if you wanna talk!!! (but im an hour behind so dont call unless its like 10 there lol)
OKAY CANOBIE - WERE SHOOTING FOR THE 19TH NOW! I know its a staurday, but hey, thats what seems to work for everyone,.

yo yo yo, im in iowaaa. this morning i got to see my brother adin for like the first time in 3 years!! hes the head chef and co-manager of this little restaurant called dodici (12 in italian) in washington iowa. i havent eaten there yet, but its supposed to be really good. the people who own the bed and breakfast were staying in say that guests drive out of their way to go visit the restaurant (its about 30 mins away from here) and that only good things are said about it. i think it was also number one in iowa last year. were eating there tonight with my dad's cousin fran, idk who she is really but w/e. he doesnt seem to excited about seeing her, but my gandma suggested it since she's still bitter that we didnt invite her to come along to iowa (although she had a previous committment anyway).
tomorrow or monday were going to pay a visit to the iowa state fair, i dont really know what goes on there, but im pretty much just thinking cotton candy lol. so overall, iowa is really flat. all of the roads are like perpendicular to eachother and theyre all straight. it's cold in the morning and cold at night, but really nice during the day. Unfortunately, i dont get to meet Adin's girlfriend Andy b/c shes off scouting schools in montana, i really wanted to meet her. I still dont know if theyll get married, he doesnt seem ready to tie the knot, but he says that he loves her to death and she pretty much goes anywhere and everywhere with him so im hoping that theyll get hitched sometime in the next few years or so. as he said, the only part of the criteria for a wife she's missing is "shes gotta be a flyfisherman, which shes not, but she said shes willing to learn". lol.
so the B&B were staying in is right outside of the university of iowa's campus. they have some pretty up-scale greek houses, like im not even kidding, like theyre better quality than the apartments, and maybe even some of the educational buildings. the campus is pretty big, and they have a HUGE athletics complex since everything EXCEPT girl's volleyball is stressed here. Well im sure v-ball is stressed, but the people of iowa dont really get into it. The arts building is quite a sight, its built like over a big pond, and the stairs actually go over the water, which is pretty cool, but theyre those weird stairs with the holes between so if you tripped, it would suck so bad. lol.
OKay, well the prissy girl whos staying here wants to used the computer, even tho shes been on it for like the last hour but whatever, so i gtg. Ill talk to you all later.
P.S. were trying to plan a trip to canobie on the 21st of AUGUST, like aorund 1-ish and wed be home around like 7or8-ish. anyone who wants to go please contact ME or HOLLY

Dude! So i got home from scotland yesterday, and it was sooo cool! It doesnt get dark there until 11:00PM and it gets light at 4 AM! i was like, no way. We saw 12 castles total, including castles "Ahhhhhhhh" (really stalker castle) and the french guard castle (really Doune castle) from Monty Python, they were so awesome!! I also saw Rosallyn Chapel from the Da Vinci Code. OOH and we saw a ton of standing stones and carns from the Druit group that lived a long time ago (they were in the latin I movie too). Yea i really can't sum my vacation up that well. I've realized that im really bad at summing things up, and im really bad at writing live journal entries that make sense. Lol, when holly and michelle write theirs are intersting and easy to understand. Mine are just... yea, i hated writing class.

so, this week has been kind of messed up. im so glad school is almost over. i mean i dont have anything insightful to say like holly, because she actually knows how to write things down. Anyway. if y'all didnt see my profile, im greatful for all of my friends. i dont know where i would be if i didn have you guys and i just want to tell you all how much you mean to me. youve been here for me during the good times and the bad times and none of you know how much i appreciate you.
also, i want to apologize for being a little weird this week. i had a lot on my mind and sometimes i have a hard time coping with everything at the same time.

okay i have a poll question
please answer it id really appreciate it
scenario:
Your so called "friend" who told you that you were second and that you would only screw things up for decides three months later that he really did have feelings for you, but you have absolutely NO feelings for him at this point. So then, you ask the friend if the friendship is fair, like if it was equal and help went both ways. The friend says yes of course disregarding that he hurt your feelings. When hes talking to you about the friendship, he basically tells you that youre fucking stupid and that you misinterpret everything, he also claims that saying, "youre second on the list" and "youll just mess everything up" was not meant to make you feel like he wasnt interested. Now, this friend says "i love you as a friend" even though you are feeling that the friendship is very unequal because you get hurt more than you are helped, and you have never hurt him. SO... the next day he tells a close friend of yours that he wants you to "go to hell" and that he "doesnt care" about you which pisses you off and pretty much ices the hurtful cake. Here's the poll:
